Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU) is a center for excellence for medical education in Eastern Europe. The 6 year medical degree offered at Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarus is divided into 2 Phases. First 3 Years of Pre-Clinical Training (Theory based learning) and Final 3 Years of Clinical Training (Clinical based learning at State Hospitals). Student can take their clinical training at VSMU teaching hospital with more than 6,200 beds. Students are benefited to visit hospitals even during the 1st year of studies. From high tech facilities to using actual cadavers assist students in enhancing their practical knowledge. The MD program is structured in a way to fully produce medical graduates with all skills and ability needed to conduct challenging medical tasks.
Being the Eastern European Leader in Medical Education, Vitebsk State Medical University is the only state university that provides a unique “Triple Qualification” within the 6 Year Doctor of Medicine Program. VSMU in partnership with IMC Education, Sri-Lanka collaborated with Lincoln University College in Malaysia to provide Triple Qualified MD (Doctor of Medicine) Degree. Note – Students who wish to appear for the ACT16/ERPM in Sri Lanka to obtain the registration on Sri Lanka Medical Council to practice medicine in Sri Lanka should fulfill the Minimum Advanced Level entry criteria (C,C,S for Local A/L Examination and C,C,D for London A/L Examination in the subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics) stipulated by the Sri Lanka medical Council (SLMC).
Credit pass for English in O/Levels or A/Levels.
– In order to “Practice Medicine” medical graduates are required to pass the relevant “Medical Licensing Examination” in the respective countries.
– IMC Education assists in arranging “Internships” and preparing students for “Medical Licensing Examinations” with the affiliation of our global partners for students who wish to work overseas straight after the Medical degree without coming back to Sri-Lanka.

Students are provided accommodation in university’s own “Hostel Accommodation” or could opt for “Private Apartment type accommodation”.
International Student Hostel
Block type hostel accommodation. A Block includes 3 Rooms (2 Dual Sharing Rooms & 1 Double or Triple Sharing Room) with a common kitchen along with a toilet and a bathroom (All inside one block). Each Room occupies – 2 or 3 Beds, Wardrobes, Study Tables, Electronic cooker and other amenities/
Living conditions in hostels are in satisfactory standards with central heating, hot water systems, cookers, electricity and water supply. They may also prepare their meals individually or collectively in their hostel itself. Hostel block types can be varied then the above description according to different hostel buildings.
Private Apartment Accommodation
Through IMC Foreign office in Belarus, private apartments can be booked. This option is relatively expensive in comparison to university hostels. IMC Education can arrange these facilities upon the request of student and parents who needs luxurious accommodation with more privacy.
Students can share a private apartment and share rental with each other. Students have to pre-inform the IMC officials to book an apartment.
Student’s security will be maintained even if students are in “University Hostel” or on “Private Apartments” as IMC Staff in Belarus looks after the safety.

Republic of Belarus provides guaranteed “Internship” opportunity for candidates who wish to work in Belarus or other countries upon passing the relevant medical licensing examinations. Vitebsk State Medical University assists students in completing their “Clinical Residency” over a 1 year period. Clinical residency provides more than 20 specialties for the Medical graduate to choose from.
During the first year graduates work as internship doctors under the guidance of experienced academicians, so in fact, still continue their education.
